About Sunshine Coast Independent Living Service
Sunshine Coast Independent Living Service (SCILS) has been proudly supporting people with disability on the Sunshine Coast since 1989. With over 35 years of experience, we are a trusted, registered NDIS provider and not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering reliable, high-quality, person-centred support. We understand that choosing a support provider is an important decision for individuals and families. At SCILS, we are committed to building trust through consistency, transparency, and genuine care. Our focus is always on the people we support — ensuring they feel safe, respected, and empowered in every aspect of their support journey.
Our services are designed to promote independence, inclusion, and meaningful participation in the community. We work alongside each individual to understand their goals, preferences, and strengths, and we tailor our supports to meet their unique needs. This includes community access programs, social and recreational activities, skill development opportunities, and supported independent living. We also recognise the importance of strong relationships with families, careers, and support networks. By working collaboratively, we ensure our support is consistent, responsive, and aligned with each person’s goals and the NDIS framework.
At SCILS, our dedicated team brings professionalism, compassion, and experience to every interaction. We are committed to creating a supportive environment where individuals feel valued, heard, and confident to live life their way. With a long-standing history of service since 1989, SCILS continues to be a dependable and caring organisation focused on making a positive difference in the lives of the people and families we support.
