About Our Facilities

Upstairs, there is a large, adaptable training and activity area designed to support a wide variety of programs. This open-plan space includes a comfortable lounge setting and a dining area, both of which can be easily reconfigured to suit different uses such as group workshops, skills training, meetings, or recreational activities. The flexibility of the layout allows the space to transition seamlessly between structured learning environments and relaxed social settings, depending on program needs.

Inside, the space is filled with natural light, creating a bright, welcoming and comfortable environment throughout the day. At the heart of the centre is a spacious, well-equipped kitchen, designed to support both everyday use and structured training programs. It offers ample bench space, practical layout design, and excellent visibility across the main activity areas, making it ideal for cooking skills development, group preparation activities, and independent living support training.

We also provide a dedicated quiet room, offering a calm, low-stimulation environment for clients who benefit from downtime, sensory regulation, or one-to-one support. This space has been intentionally designed to promote comfort and wellbeing, with soft lighting and a peaceful atmosphere.

The green room operates as a fully self-contained, private meeting and training space. It is ideal for small group sessions, planning meetings, supervision, or individual support sessions. The room includes its own private bathroom, kitchenette, television, and air conditioning, providing complete independence from the rest of the facility when required. This allows for flexible use across a range of needs, including private consultations, staff training, client meetings, or breakout sessions during larger programs. Its design supports both professional and therapeutic use, offering comfort, privacy, and functionality in one dedicated space.

The building is also supported by a lift, ensuring full accessibility across all levels. Level 1 provides direct access from the car park, including entry to the green room and accessible facilities. Level 2 is home to the SCILS office and administration area. Level 3 houses the main activity and training spaces, including the open-plan lounge, dining areas, kitchen, and access to the outdoor patio, which provides an additional versatile space for activities, breaks, and social connection.

Overall, every part of the centre has been purposefully designed to maximise usable space, accessibility, and client outcomes, ensuring a practical and supportive environment that can adapt to a wide range of services and activities.
